This role is a new addition to the Collaboration and Voice Services team within the IT Infrastructure organization. The primary business need is to establish dedicated User Acceptance Testing (UAT) capabilities to ensure the quality and usability of new and updated IT solutions before they are deployed to employees. To address this, the role will focus on three core areas: UAT planning and design, hands-on test execution, and systematic defect management. This involves translating business requirements into testable scenarios, performing tests on collaboration and voice platforms, and documenting all findings to facilitate resolution and ensure a seamless user experience. Given the focus on IT system validation, the ideal candidate will possess foundational knowledge of software testing principles, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Experience in creating test cases and documenting defects within an IT environment is essential for success in this position.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• 50% Test Execution & Defect Management
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and test cases for collaboration and voice service applications according to the test plan.
  • Identify, document, and categorize defects, bugs, and usability issues discovered during testing using a designated defect tracking system.
  • Collaborate with development and project teams to provide clear details on identified issues and perform re-testing to verify defect resolution.
  • Report on test execution progress and escalate critical issues to the UAT lead or project manager as needed.
• 30% UAT Planning & Design
  • Assist in the review of business requirements and technical specifications to understand testing needs for IT projects.
  • Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive UAT test cases and test scenarios based on user stories and requirements.
  • Prepare and manage the necessary test data and test environment configurations required for executing test plans.
• 20% Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Create and maintain documentation for all testing activities, including test plans, test cases, and final summary reports.
  • Contribute to the refinement of the UAT process by providing feedback on testing tools and methodologies.
  • Maintain a repository of UAT documentation and test scripts for future use and regression testing.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent vocational training and practical experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in a software quality assurance, system testing, or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) role.
• Experience working within an IT infrastructure or enterprise applications environment is preferred.
